About Me

 Educational Background:
I graduated from Wellesley College with a major in Psychobiology and received my M.D. from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.   I completed my residency in Psychiatry at the University of California, San Francisco in 1995.IMG_2612.JPG

Practice Background:
I have been in private practice since 1995, initially in San Francisco then moving down to the Peninsula in 2000.
I worked part-time as an attending psychiatrist on the inpatient psychiatric unit at UCSF from 1995-1998, during which time I served on the faculty at UCSF as assistant clinical professor.  In addition, during that time I was one of the volunteer faculty at the Women's Mood and Hormone Clinic at UCSF.  I have worked in other settings as well such as Emergency Psychiatric Services, Walden House Substance Abuse facilities, and UCSF Hastings Law School Student Health.
Around 1998 I decided to focus on my private practice, which was always my first love.
